Who we are
ALTARED Publishing provides tools for Christian authors to write, edit, narrate and publish books, and a place for readers to read them.
Your account
You must give accurate details and keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
Your writing stays yours
Authors keep full ownership and copyright of everything they write. By publishing on ALTARED you give us permission to store, display, format and distribute your book to readers you choose, only for as long as you keep it published. You can unpublish at any time.
AI help
AI tools offer outlines, ideas, feedback and short line edits. They never write chapters for you. Suggestions may be wrong; you decide what goes in your book. Scripture checks compare quotations against public-domain translations and are guidance, not a guarantee.
The Author Covenant
Authors agree to the Author Covenant before starting a book. Books that clearly break it may be declined or removed.
Teams
If you invite co-authors, editors, proofreaders or beta readers, you control their access and can remove them at any time. Contributors do not gain ownership of the book unless you agree separately.
Getting paid
Authors may connect their own payment account (such as Stripe or Paddle). Payments are processed by that provider under its own terms. You are responsible for taxes on your income.
Acceptable use
Do not upload content you do not have the right to use, attempt to break the service, access other people's work without permission, or harass other members in comments and forums.
Ending
You can delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms.
Liability
The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses. Keep your own copies of important work; use the Word, EPUB and PDF exports.
