Privacy Policy
Last updated October 2026. This is a plain-language draft and should be reviewed by a lawyer before launch.
What we collect
Account details (email, display name, optional profile), your manuscripts, notes and files, reading progress, comments and forum posts, and basic technical logs needed to run the service.
Manuscripts are private
Drafts, notes, attachments and research are visible only to you and the team members you invite. Nothing is public until you publish it.
AI processing
When you ask for AI help, the relevant passage is sent to our AI providers to produce a response. It is not used by us to train models, and drafts are never published or shared with other authors.
Payment details
If you connect a Stripe or Paddle account, your key is encrypted and only used to talk to that provider for you. We never see readers' full card numbers.
Cookies and storage
We use your browser's storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences such as light or dark mode. We do not use advertising trackers.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers that run the platform (hosting, database, AI, narration, payments) and when the law requires.
Your choices
You can view and edit your profile, export your books, remove team members, and ask us to delete your account and data.
Children
The service is not directed at children under 13.
